Forging a Damascus Hunting Knife Part II

Forging this damascus searching knife blade went particularly well as well as I am incredibly pleased with the pattern that was exposed throughout the etch. Now it’s time to make a guard as well as manage for this piece (which is gradually becoming my favored part of the process … for currently, at the very least).

I end up making a stacked guard from g10, light weight aluminum as well as damascus steel but I wasn’t able to engrave the damascus for reasons you’ll see in the video so I simply polished it and left it clean. It wasn’t what I was going for but the finishing result is still rather lovely.

I tried a new approach I invented for gluing the handle onto the tang/guard and it went actually well!! After I have actually made a few more blades utilizing this technique I will make a video defining the procedure thoroughly so watch out for that due to the fact that it might truly assist your covert flavor handling process.

While this was a whole lot of fun, I rejoice to be done with this item and also onto the next one. I hope y’ all appreciate the video clip and also don’t fail to remember to subscribe and also hit the bell for even more video clips in the future. Many thanks for watching!!
